The stay was excellent. the hotel was great and stunningly beautiful. - the incredible location in the center of Rome was perfect. - the breakfast was savory with jam and cheese, for instance. - the comforts of the queen room were fabulous with a safe box and a TV set. - Free Wi-Fi was available in all rooms. - the service in general was nice. - the Irish bar was nice; I really enjoyed it.

The Location, proximity to attractions and Metro.

The mediocre service, the poor, limited availibility time-wise "Breakfast" in a separate location, The high cost versus more traditional hotels in the area. The deceptive responses to questions asked prior to the booking (internet availibility).

I was very pleased with the hospitality shown by the staffs. I was very comfortable throughout the stay. I will definitely come again and request for the same room (1st floor no. 90). I was out all the time and come back only at nite, however, I can imagine staying in and relax in the room all day. Location is excellent. Enjoy your stay...

The location of Il Covo was perfect, with several attractions within walking distance. We had a comfortable room with a big bed and amenities like AC and a fridge. The breakfast, although not a buffet, was a nice assortment of bread and pastries served at a nearby café. I would highly recommend this accommodation.

The location is perfect and magnificent, right in the heart of the old town close to the Coliseum. the queen room is stylish, spacious, and comes with a bathroom and a blow dryer.

- Very near the coliseum. - The neighbourhood, despite dirty and rusty, wasn't suspicious or dangerous at all. - Breakfast wasn't gigantic, but it was good enough (it's served in an outside caffé near Il Covo).

- There was no remote for the a/C. We asked for one, but the person in charge couldn't lend us any. We had to climb to a chair and do our own manual research to be able to turn the a/c on or off. - Despite saying "private WC", it's in fact a WC separated from the room. No-one else uses it, but it's not what's advertised.

Il Covo was an excellent choice for us. We’ve both enjoyed our stay and two years together there and of course in Rome. We’ve been in the hotel for 6 nights and it was all really great! The hotel service and the people who work there are really nice and helpful. We’ve stayed on the fourth floor of the building which was with 7 stairs up but we had the greatest apartment with a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom with shower and a huge clothing closet and of course the living room. 2 air co’s.. 1 in the bedroom, the other in the living room. And more surprisingly.. a huge roof terrace which was great!! So we enjoyed it a lot and will definitely go back some day!

The rooms are gorgeous and fabulous with bathrooms, the breakfast is savory and tasty, served with toast, a meal at the associated café, and jam.

Excellent location, 5 minutes walk to the Colosseum, other major tourist attractions can be reached on foot within 10-15 minutes. Friendly and helpful staff, the room was very clean with all necessary amenities. Breakfast is served in a nearby coffee bar, a nice way of being introduced to Italian lifestyle. Lots of shops, restaurants, and other local attractions on the doorstep make the area very attractive for tourists. We stayed 6 nights at Il Covo and would certainly recommend it to other travellers.

We had to climb with our luggages four floors of stairs without help from the hotel! The shower drain, the fridge and the tv remote control did not work.

The value for money at this hotel was exceptional, with a beautifully decorated room and excellent service from the staff. The location was perfect, close to all the major sights but in a peaceful neighborhood.

Hotel breakfast could be improved with more variety and a better cafe experience.

Amazing and fairly clean place with really kind staff from the nice receptionist. Savoury and tasty breakfast at the roof top for the start of the day. Very central location, not very far from a large sunny square. Found in a fairly nice area next to Termini and Coloseum, many bar/restaurants and all major sites at maximum.
